Lap Plates

We produce tin alloy lapping plates designed for lapping thin film magnetic heads as well as other lapping applications. These plates use a fixed abrasive, typically diamond, as the cutting media. Fixed diamond lapping plates are more efficient cutters resulting in less wear on the lapping plate which translates to increased plate life and more consistent plate profiles.

Drive Plates

Our machine shop can provide customers with drive/backing plates for our lapping plates. An aluminum plate can be machined to your specifications and hard coated/anodized if required.

Complete Assemblies

We can also adhere a lap plate to the drive plate and machine the assembly to your specifications.
